    An exciting and challenging opportunity exists as a Software Support Engineer. This role is within the Tier-3 Support Team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment providing technical support to mission-critical business operations and systems. This multifaceted role will be responsible for the following:

    Responsibilities:

  • Provide 3rd tier software support to multiple business applications, primarily data related.
  • Add operational efficiencies by automating and optimizing data exchange processes with internal teams as well as our trading partners.
  • Analyze complex business problems and develop optimal solutions.
  • Follow up on assigned support tickets to ensure closure within agreed SLA.
  • Analyze support activity and provide recommendations to mitigate emerging or frequent issues.
  • Contribute to and manage troubleshooting and technical knowledge base.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams such as E-Commerce, Analytics, Development, Infrastructure and Helpdesk to design and develop solutions.
  • Work alongside project management teams for successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Perform after-hours support as required.
  • The successful candidate will have the following background/experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with SQL is a must (able to read and update relatively complex SQL procedures)
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with Kafka integration is a must (understanding of real time data pipelines and application integration with them, able to do configurations)
  • 1+ year of ERP experience as user or support + knowledge of retail business processes is preferable
  • 1+ year shell scripting experience is preferable (able to read, minor modifications)
  • 1+ year of SQL query performance optimization is nice to have
