- Review RFQ/RFP/MR issued by EPC contractor and/or the client's engineering department, provide comments and follow through/address comments and enquiries during bid clarification.
- Review vendors technical, regulatory, and quality documents (e.g. drawings, scope of work, test procedures, ITPs, CSA forms, etc.) to ensure that they meet the requirements provided in Scope of Work (SOW).
- Prepare/communicate/archive Inspection Assignments, convene and manage Inspection Activities, and conduct the physical inspection at the vendors' facility, if required.
- Plan and conducts Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM) and ensure all requirements have been captured and acknowledged by vendor.
- Review inspection reports for compliance with SOW and requirements, distribute inspection reports, inspection findings, and signed off ITP in a timely manner to stakeholders.
- Oversees and assists in the resolution of Non-conformance Reports, outstanding items and inspection waivers raised against SOW.
Skills & Qualifications: - Engineering degree with minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, with Quality Assurance related experience. Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGA and holding CWB and API certificate is an asset.
- Experience working with equipment on heavy oil upgraders, large oil refining facilities, or petrochemical plants is a definite asset.
- Strong knowledge and exposure to industrial codes and acts such as CSA, API (510, 570, etc.), ASME BPV, ASME B31 series, Alberta Safety Codes Act, etc.
- Understanding of written work related documents, including engineered drawings, Bill of Materials, etc. Willing to share your knowledge, yet equally willing to listen to your team members and take their ideas into account.
