Qualifications
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team in advancing an exciting program of research centred on the public health workforce in Canada.
An ideal candidate would be an experienced scientist who has:
Roles and Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to support the Public Health Workforce Indicator Project funded through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). This study aims to develop and disseminate a rigorous public health workforce census to support the ongoing characterization and monitoring of the public health workforce in Canada. The candidate would be responsible for overseeing all stages of this multi-phase project in collaboration with Dr. Emily Belita (School of Nursing, McMaster University) and an inter-disciplinary team of researchers and public health decision-makers, including daily project management, leading data collection (e.g., focus groups, interviews, survey) and data analysis and knowledge mobilization activities.
Duration and Funding
The term of the fellowship is one year with possibility of renewal for an additional two years. Selection will be based upon the candidate's research potential and the skills and experience that they would bring to our inter-disciplinary team and School of Nursing department.
