    Description

    The Insurance Council of British Columbia is the regulatory organization that licenses and regulates the activities of over 50,000 life and general insurance agents, general insurance salespersons, insurance adjusters, and restricted travel insurance agents in British Columbia.

    This position is mostly remote work enabled. The incumbent would be required to come into the office as needed.
    The Examination Administrator is responsible for preparing examinations for Insurance Council's license qualification examinations. This position permits a hybrid model of work-from-home and in-office.

    The primary focus of this position will involve on-site work, either at the Insurance Council's office or the designated exam location.

    This is a 24 month Contract position.
    review of qualifications and prior examination writing history;

    Perform examination duties on scheduled exam days (outside of normal business hours), which requires the ability to regularly lift up to 45 lbs, a valid Driver's License and reliable means of transportation.

    transportation of exam papers and materials to the examination venue on exam days, and returning them to the Insurance Council's office at the end of the exam day;
    Prepare and arrange shipping/receiving of Out-of-Town exam packages.

    Respond to all examination-related inquiries by phone, in person, and by email on topics cutting across examination procedures, scheduling deadlines, and examination qualifications.

    Review requests for exemptions from standard policies and refer to the Manager, Examinations, for final decision.
    Review online examination eligibility daily.
    Extract and enter online examination results daily.
    Ensure examination records are properly stored and secured and privacy policies are followed.
    Minimum 3 years of customer service or administrative experience
    Valid Driver's License and means of transportation required
    Excellent computer, word processing, and data entry skills
    Strong skills in Excel is a must
