- Implement standardized and consistent practices to create efficient and effective compensation services in adherence to applicable Government of Alberta pay directives and policies.
- Advise and strategically consult with Human Resources Business Partners, employees, and line management to resolve complex compensation issues
- Verify, provide advice, and implement compensation related initiatives and provide expertise in all areas of compensation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and integrity of the compensation system, including auditing policies and programs.
- Assist with the development and execution of processes to evaluate and analyze compensation metrics and trends, integrity and quality.
- Develop briefings, reviews and recommendations.
- Assist with development of training materials
- Knowledge of appropriate research methodology and tools to provide recommendations on compensation issues.
- Knowledge of HR practices, processes and legislation
- Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel.
- Strong Consulting skills in order to provide quality advice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong issue resolution and de-escalation skills
