    Description

    Tomlinson is looking for multiple 310T Mechanic positions to inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of vehicles.

    Available positions:

  • 970 Moodie Drive: day shift (5AM-3PM)
  • 970 Moodie Drive: evening shift (2PM-12AM)
  • 5597 Power Road: evening shift (2PM-12AM)

    • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
  • Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools
  • Test and adjust units to specifications for proper performance
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
  • Some field work is required

    • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of secondary school is usually required
  • Hold a 310T Heavy Truck/Coach License, or level 3 apprentice
  • Proven mechanical abilities in gas and diesel diagnosis and repair
  • Experience with routine/preventative maintenance operations
