Position Description


The EA Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting Project Managers and Discipline Leads by coordinating logístical elements and regulatory requirements across TWC projects that align with TWC's values, mission, and strategic priorities.

The EA Project Coordinator establishes and maintains connections among all those working on a project, reporting updates to the project manager, and solving logístical problems as they arise.

The EA Project Coordinator is responsible for framing, coordinating and supporting the completion of impact assessments, including technical analysis.

The EA Project Coordinator is an individual who is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advise on regulatory obligations under both provincial and federal environmental assessment processes.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Foster open communication with TWC clients, subcontractors, and employees by organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop internal and external weekly project report summaries.
  • Draft memos to accompany ad hoc communications with clients.
  • Update Project Managers with progress and milestone reports and provide other administrative support to Project Managers as needed.
  • Implement quality assurance and document control procedures, ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
  • Assess project risks and issues, document and track solutions, and manage subsequent change orders and risk registers.
  • Reflect and report on project challenges and successes.
  • Undertake and document analyses to support advice to TWC project teams and clients on a variety of matters, including:1. best practices and expertise drawn from federal, provincial, territorial and agencyspecific regulatory frameworks and practices, including the identification of key issues and regulatory risks,
3. regulatory support for Indigenous nations participating in regulatory processes, including engagement for environmental assessments, and
4. innovative approaches to address evolving impact assessment requirements and methods.

  • Manage and track communications among clients, discipline teams, and regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Sciences, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Canadian federal and provincial/territorial legislation regarding impact assessment, consultation, social due diligence and permitting.
  • Knowledge of environmental and/or social consulting industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative tasks.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience doing project coordination or related tasks.
  • Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong timemanagement and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, often under strict deadlines.

Working Location
Work will be typically performed in one of TWC's offices or your remote home office. Some project assignments may require a presence at client sites, including offices, project operations, communities, and other premises.


Travel


Occasional travel will be required to achieve the duties and responsibilities above to serve the needs of clients and TWC.
