    Job Description:

    On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Development Lead. You must demonstrate that you can lead team of developers to assemble multiple independent cloud services to create a single-integrated solution. Effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills are essential for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand integration requirements, gather feedback, and drive successful outcomes.

    Skills and experience include:

    • In-depth understanding of various AWS services including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, Glue etc.
    • Familiarity with integration patterns such as synchronous and asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
    • Experience with integrating and migrating data between on-premises systems and AWS cloud services, including ETL processes, data replication, and synchronization.
    • Ability to integrate applications running on different platforms or technologies using messaging queues, event streams, or other integration mechanisms.
    • Knowledge of IAM best practices for managing access permissions and security roles across integrated systems and services.
    • Understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), subnets, security groups, Route 53 for establishing secure and reliable connections between systems.
    • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for data and system integration in the cloud, including encryption, data protection, and regulatory standards (e.g., FIPPA, HIPAA, SOC 2).
    • Proficiency in setting up monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, and other AWS services to track system integrations, detect anomalies, and troubleshoot issues.
    • Experience with automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit), AWS Step Functions, and AWS Lambda for orchestrating and managing complex integration workflows.
    • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools for defining, provisioning, and managing infrastructure resources required for system integration in a repeatable and scalable manner.
    • Knowledge of distributed systems concepts such as scalability, fault tolerance, eventual consistency, and distributed transactions for designing resilient and scalable integrations.
    • Ability to optimize system integrations for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness by fine-tuning configurations, implementing caching strategies, and leveraging AWS services like CloudFront, ElastiCache, etc.
    • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for automating API Gateway deployments.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve integration issues, including performance bottlenecks, data consistency problems, and communication failures.
