The Sunnybrook Department of Medicine Association is currently recruiting for an Office Manager for the Division of Nephrology You will also serve as the Executive Assistant to the Division Head of Nephrology.

***: Our association is searching for an experienced office manager preferably from a medical setting. The Division of Nephrology includes seven full time nephrologists and conducts approximately 6000 outpatient visits per year. The Nephrology Division also works in close partnership with the Sunnybrook Regional Dialysis Program to provide care for over 300 dialysis patients. The successful applicant will supervise five administrative assistants and oversee the human resources for the Division. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing department with competitive compensation in an academic teaching hospital


Office Manager Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:_
  • To manage administrative staff for outpatient clinic activities
  • To attend morning signover rounds to track activity for OHIP billing
  • To submit OHIP billing to MDBilling software
  • To resolve rejections and downgrades with MDbilling software
  • To supervise financial transactions for the Division of nephrology including payment of expenses and staff salaries
  • To maintain Manage and maintain physician call schedules and coverage for absences
  • To assist with the training and implementation of our office electronic medical record system (Accuro)
  • To assist with onboarding new staff, residents, fellows, and observers
  • To provide executive assistance to the Division Head of Nephrology
  • To schedule meetings and appointments

Requirements:


  • College diploma in a related discipline, or recognized equivalent, or a combination of education and experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with hospital and universityspecific programs and software
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an managerial role or coordinator role
  • Strong organizational, time management and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to follow written instructions for new processes
  • Capable of working with multiple stakeholders including Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the University of Toronto
  • Exceptional communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and act independently using sound judgment, as well as accepting direction
  • Tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
