    Position title: Fertility Nurse
    Location: 25 Sheppard Avenue West and 40 University Avenue, Toronto, ON
    Reports to: Nurse Manager
    Range: $28–$30 per hour

    About the position As a Fertility Clinic Nurse, you will facilitate our physicians' effectiveness by providing information and care to assigned patients while following Anova protocols and procedures. You will book IVF procedures for patients based on cycle-timing, relay procedure dates, times, and instructions to patients, and explain the IVF process. You will explain which choices our patients have and what their treatment entails. From the initial consultation to the actual treatments and the goal of having a baby, you will guide patients every step of the way. Success in this role requires a combination of empathy, care, and skill. Crucially, you will share the founder's passion for being the gold standard for reproductive health and fertility centres.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide quality care to patients as per Anova protocols and procedures
    • Add information to patient care plan and implement physician instructions
    • Book IVF procedures for patients based on cycle-timing and protocols
    • Relay procedure dates, times, and instructions to patients
    • Review and explain IVF process to patients and their families
    • Communicate test results and medication instructions to patients
    • Participate in cycle monitoring and perform intrauterine inseminations
    • Initiate and discontinue IV as needed
    • Dispense medication and keep accurate daily log
    • Maintain, clean, and sterilize instruments, exam rooms and equipment
    • Comply with safety protocols and use equipment in prescribed manner
    • Collect and store specimens according to SOP
    • Identifies patient care issues and alerts supervisor to unusual occurrences
    • Ensure that patient records are up to date
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of records
    Qualifications and Requirements
    • Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse diploma from accredited institution
    • Current BCLS/ACLS accreditation and member in good standing of CNO
    • Experience working in fertility clinic preferred
    • Working knowledge of medical software, including Accuro
    • Ability to explain complex topics with patients and check for understanding
    • Ability to connect with people from range of backgrounds and cultures
    • Ability and willingness to work on weekends and statutory holidays
    • Track record of punctual attendance and schedule adherence
    • Strong time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Thoroughness and keen attention to detail
