Following the retirement of the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Board of
Governors has announced the search for the Institute's next President and CEO.
The President and CEO is responsible to the Board of Governors for the implementation of JIBC's Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan.
The President and CEO provides strategicleadership to JIBC, working with the Board of Governors and the executive management team to establish, implement and oversee vision, strategies and goals that will enable the long-term success of the Institute.
The President and CEO adds value through their capacity to build and sustain an internal culture that drives excellence in studentexperience and quality education, a diverse and inclusive employee experience, operational effectiveness, and a commitment to the professions JIBC trains within a global context.
The President and CEO should be a visionary leader who possesses the collaborative skills, presence, and wherewithal to inspire JIBC's communities and partners.
The ideal candidate effectively manages at both the strategic and operational levels, conveningBoard, faculty, staff, students, industry, government, and external communities to
achieve great things. This leader will be a compelling champion for JIBC's role in creating safer, stronger communities. To that end, the new President and CEO will bring a passion for aligning an organization around thoughtful strategy, as well as an

appreciation and respect for teaching, public services, research, and the role that a
niche and largely applied public post-secondary institution can bring to the labour and
education markets, as well as society at large. Meaningful engagement with Truth and Reconciliation, and equity, diversity, and inclusion, is expected. The President and CEO should possess the business acumen, innovative spirit, agility, and forward-thinking vision required to preserve and enhance the Institute's reputation locally, nationally,
and globally.
This position is located in New Westminster, British Columbia. The salary for this position ranges from $200,000 to $240,000 plus benefits.
