- Investigation of and reporting on equipment failures including field research and data collection within Finning and Caterpillar
- Identifying product problems and research and recommend solutions
- Coordination and support for Caterpillar requests, test equipment and product improvement initiatives
- Management of Caterpillar technical information and product improvement information
- Technical support for maintenance personnel, technical problem solution
- Generate reports from the Customer's Mine Maintenance System
- Team player
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurate and strong attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- A good understanding of electrical and electronics
- Proficiency in all aspects of the MS office package
- Software applications such as Sequel, DBS Contract Tracking, CODA
- Knowledge of a CAD
- Understanding of Finning products and services
- 3 to 5 years experience working in a service environment
- Experience in heavy equipment or plant maintenance in an industrial environment, preferably in mining or oil & gas a definite must
