This position provides professional executive administrative support as a proactive genuine partner to the President MOCC and leadership team to support operating efficiency.

As the Executive Assistant you will accomplish this through building strong relationships, taking the initiative to lead change and projects brining an energetic, let's make it happen style.

Guided by the mission and vision of MOCC, you will leverage your advanced administrative skills, high intellect, diplomacy, and organizational skills to shape your success in this role to promote Meridian OneCap and demonstrates alignment with the goals of the organization.


Responsibilities typically include preparing and coordinating executive presentation, reports for CEO, Board and industry, leading projects, and initiatives / work processes, working independently with limited supervision; partnering across MCU executive team, executive assistants, communications, and human resource partner to coordinate and execute various reports, all hands and leadership meetings, initiatives, and projects.

Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex and require both business and political acuity.

Ability to work flexible hours MOCC Executive team based in Vancouver and Toronto


Key Accountabilities

  • As a proactive genuine partner to form an efficient and effective team. Set up and complete administrative requirements of the President MOCC associated with board, leadership, and external meetings in a hybrid environment, providing superior executive administrative (and technical) support to the Executive for the management of the executive's office.
  • Research data to prepare documents for review and presentations and updates to the CEO, Board, and leadership portals. Research items of topical interest and prepare reports of findings.
  • Act as resource to coordinate materials and attendance for executive meetings, conferences and for other corporate activities such as employee functions; offsite events and/or public events. Exemplify service excellence in preparing materials, binders, briefs, executive summaries, agendas and identify and resolve conflicts in schedule/commitments.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of One Caps business operations and strategic focus area, initiatives, key voice of experience employee drivers and KPI to ensure alignment of program development and outcomes. Become familiar with
  • Provide backup assistance to other Executive Assistants when required as a member of the team, continually exhibiting a team approach, pitching in to assist when deadlines for other Assistants are pressing.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


  • A minimum of 7 years' experience as a professional executive assistant or senior administrative assistant, having supported senior level executives, in a medium/large corporate environment or similar related experience. With demonstrated ability to quickly prioritize and resolve critical issues as they arise. Completion of relevant postsecondary education
  • Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills and proven effective organizational and timemanagement skills working in a Hybrid environment.
  • Highly professional demeanor, poise, confidence, maturity, and exceptional interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to communicate effectively with Chief Executives, Directors, and internal & external partners & contacts.
  • Effective in multitasking in a highpressure environment, with the foresight to plan, anticipate changes, evaluate, interpret, use sound judgment, and respond in a proactive manner.
  • Possess the ability to think strategically and to take initiative to maintain the executive's office at a superior level of efficiency and competency.
  • Able to work independently with mínimal supervision and with ambiguity, within a team environment; not waiting to take necessary action or to be asked to assist others.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with highly sensitive materials and situations; the ability to exercise excellent judgment and to always act with discretion, tact and diplomacy, while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Able to adapt and respond to a changing environment using creativity and innovation; takes ownership for own performance and development.
  • Challenges the status quo and generally accepted practices of the office of the Executive.
  • Knowledge of Meridian OneCap's business objectives, key products, brand promise, key public and private business associates of Meridian OneCap, Executives and CEO.
