SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
The Marketing Manager is directly responsible for leading and mentoring the bar group Marketing team, including freelance resources as required, and will work closely with enterprise marketing resources including content creators.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In collaboration with the client group (Principal, operational leadership), services brand by creating and executing marketing campaigns with an emphasis on digital platforms and including print, poster and media buys
Manages Bar Group marketing function, with direct responsibility for hiring, training, work allocation, and ongoing performance management and development
Establishes and manages marketing budgets for each project, in conjunction with operational and accounting partners - includes social media and traditional ad spends, third parties including influencers
Generates content or directs the development of visual content through internal and external partners (images, video, animation and print materials)
Communicates proactively with key stakeholders including clients, project coordinators and ownership, as well as external partners
Manages marketing strategy through partnership and continuous communication with event support groups including: design & content creation, marketing coordinator, operations and accounting
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
At least five years' experience within media marketing and communications, with at least
two years of experience at a leadership level
Diploma or degree in marketing, communications, or fine arts, or equivalent professional experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and comfort with copywriting for broad distribution
Works collaboratively, manages priorities and adapts with agility, approaches work with a positive, solution-oriented focus
Leads from a coaching mindset, modelling accountability and continuous improvement
Familiar with digital and four-walls marketing methodologies, analytics and CRM practices
Demonstrable ability in developing and nurturing partnerships at all levels
Demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement and managing change from a place of positivity and support
Technical knowledge:
CRM platform knowledge, comfortable with social media marketing toolsets, G Suite for Business, MS Office, and database / mailout platforms (eg MailChimp or other)
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Familiarity / exposure to Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, AfterEffects and Premiere) an asset
