    Description

    The Department of Community Health Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine is seeking a Research Assistant for a Full-time Fixed Term position of about 12 months, with a chance of extension.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate with the research project team for compliance with regulations
    • Inform patients about study objectives and assist in the informed consent process
    • Recruit research participants and administer surveys
    • Ensure accuracy in data collection and entry
    • Communicate daily with patients, family, care givers, and clinic staff
    • Maintain inventory of study supplies

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • Post-secondary education in health or related field
    • Minimum 2 years of university-based research experience
    • Experience in healthcare settings is beneficial
    • Prior health research experience is an asset
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet skills
    • Organized, detail-oriented, strong communication skills
    • Ability to work in a team setting
