Reporting to the Director of Resettlement and Settlement Services, the
Social Work, Clinical Services and Special Projects Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a diverse set of key services provided to newcomer immigrants, refugees and other migrants to Canada.

The role includes providing leadership and management to the Social Work, Clinical and Special Project teams which include projects on sexual and reproductive health, anti-human trafficking and gender-based violence services and/or training programs.

The Manager will oversee service delivery, coordinate services in a complex service environment, and manage/support key partnerships in the community to ensure that newcomers can access services to address their unique needs and vulnerabilities.

Monitoring, oversight on data collection and management, financial management and reporting are key components of this role.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manager a diverse set of interrelated programs, services and projects, supporting inperson, digital and hybrid program delivery to meet program outcomes and contractual agreements are met, including federal/provincial privacy and reporting laws
Provide internal oversight of program activities, ensuring adequate supervision and compliance with agency policies and procedures
Ensure all client and program documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner
Collaborate with teams in the organization to identify and support priority cases, issues and strengths
Provide leadership and develop opportunities to deepen the working knowledge of program staff to ensure appropriate and timely service delivery to immigrants and refugees, regardless of status in Canada
Proactively identify program challenges and obtain workable resolution, and escalate issues as appropriate
Oversee the recording of data and reports on a regular basis ensuring integrity of the data and reporting timelines are adhered to
Actively monitor and continuously improve program statistics and reporting
Identify and leverage promising practices and progressive tools from a wide range of sources and partners to enhance program quality
Develop, maintain, and expand partnerships with relevant community agencies and partners
Remain current within the settlement sector drawing on provincial/regional/national networks and key resources
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor of Social Work is required; a MSW is an asset, but equivalent combination of training and experience is also considered an asset
Experience in leading and coaching teams in a service delivery environment
Effective in data management and analysis
Strong report writing skills (both narrative and statistical)
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (oral and written)
Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with a diverse client group
Ability to develop networks and maintain contacts within the broader community
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fastpaced environment
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 36
Knowledge of the settlement process and issues facing immigrants and refugees during their integration process an asset
Ability to speak a second language is an asset

Conditions of Employment

Legal authorization to work in Canada
Flexible to work outside of standard core hours (Monday-Friday, 9 am 5 pm)
Valid class 5 driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required
Ability to travel is required
Valid First Aid Certificate is an asset
