    Description:

    Are you ready to take on the role of ensuring smooth operations and maintenance in assigned buildings? Join our team as an Engineer responsible for the safe and efficient functioning of mechanical equipment and services. Your expertise will make a difference in the building environment and Faculty.

    Typical Duties:

    Explore the range of tasks that await you in this dynamic position:

    • Perform regular checks on mechanical equipment and carry out necessary services;
    • Maintain the efficiency of mechanical equipment and faculty services;
    • Respond promptly to trouble calls and alarms, ensuring quick action;
    • Collaborate with contractors and University of Toronto Trades Services as needed;
    • Recommend major repairs and ensure cleanliness and upkeep of equipment;
    • Handle emergency situations effectively, maintaining detailed logs of operating equipment.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education: High School graduate or equivalent with a Fourth (4th) Class Operating Engineer Certification in Ontario.

    Experience: Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment operation and maintenance, along with basic electrical and computer skills. Familiarity with environmental control principles is essential.

    Other: Strong diagnostic and communication skills, customer service orientation, and ability to work well in a team setting. Building Environmental Systems Certificate is a plus.

    Shift Details: Full-time role with regular 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
