    About this opportunity:

    The Well Management Business Solutions team is responsible for supporting the Cenovus Well Management eco-system including but not limited to the applications, integrations, business process analysis, and corporate reporting for land and well data for Western Canadian asset teams. This individual will build and maintain relationships with business/end users, IT and the application vendors to provide technical support, solutions, and help drive application and process optimization for end users in overall support of the Well Management eco-system.

    What you'll do:

    • The Well Management Business Solutions team is responsible for supporting the Cenovus Well Management eco-systems including but not limited to the applications, integrations, business analysis, and corporate reporting for land and well data for Western Canadian asset teams.
    • Create and maintain relationships with business/end users, IT and application Vendors.
    • Work with various business users and software vendors to identify requirements and provide solution recommendations.
    • Communicate sophisticated technical information in a way that stakeholders can understand. Identifies communication requirements, develops and delivers appropriate messaging, and checks for understanding.
    • Provide reporting multi-functionally and across systems including requirements for corporate reporting.
    • Provide application support and analysis to end users to efficiently handle application issues/deliverables including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and business analysis to reach resolution.
    • Complete quality assurance to test and support changes to applications including anticipating problems, taking corrective action, and managing stakeholder expectations.
    • Develop and maintain efficient processes that meet the needs of the Business Solutions team and our internal asset teams.

    Who you are:

    • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in application support, report generation across multiple databases, and business analysis with recent experience in vendor hosted applications is considered an asset.
    • Related post-secondary education in petroleum, computer science, or business analysis or a combination of education and experience.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work effectively across various functional teams.
    • Digital literacy with MS Office, Visio, and Reporting Software (Power BI, Business Objects, Spotfire)
    • Exposure to Wellview, Siteview, Generwell, and CS Land applications is considered an asset.
