    Senior Process and Development Engineer

    About the Position

    Your Role and Responsibilities

    • Ensure timely delivery of projects meeting company standards, specific customer requirements, and maintaining professional communication with customers.
    • Conduct Quality Gates reviews for ongoing projects and provide feedback to vendors for necessary improvements.
    • Perform dimensional risk assessments, fixture planning, and spring-back studies, presenting findings in detailed reports.
    • Analyze Sigma studies to optimize part performance and reliability.
    • Drive the engineering review process to uphold quality standards, timeliness, and vendor accountability.
    • Review die planning for successful part release, nesting, and related requirements for 3D cut data.
    • Support press activities for initial part assessment and correlation checks.
    • Provide training for other departments on processes and standards.
    • Participate in Lessons Learned sessions and contribute to improvements and best practices development.
    • Lead initiatives for enhancing formability, aesthetics, and dimensional outcomes.
    • Conduct soft tool reviews and identify cost-saving opportunities during the engineering phase.
    • Investigate root causes of formability and process issues, suggesting effective solutions.
    • Prepare die processes for sales inquiries and support internal departments as needed.
    • Occasional travel may be required.
    • Initiate and manage engineering change requests.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in automotive stamping with expertise in Class A closure panels.
    • Proficiency in sheet metal formability, material properties, die processing, designs, GD & T interpretation, and structural analysis.
    • Experience in stamping formability simulations with software such as Autoform, PamStamp, or LS Dyna.
    • Solid CAD software skills, particularly Catia, and familiarity with NX.
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
