    Description

    The Opportunity

    We have an opening for a full-time Technical Sales Specialist-Isolation Valves that will be responsible for representing product offerings within Tundra's portfolio; the portfolio includes valve, instrumentation and power products. This role will be focused on control valves, but knowledge of all areas is an asset. In addition, you will be responsible for achieving sales activity goals and fostering relationships with new and existing customers.

    The Role

  • Set, track and achieve sales activity goals
  • Foster relationships with new and existing customers by exploring new business opportunities, promoting our product offerings, and providing solutions based on technical requirement
  • Gather and analyze intelligence about customers, competitors, competitor's products, and any aspect of the environment needed to support making strategic decisions
  • Coordinate orders with internal business units and manufactures to ensure our customers receive a positive experience, quality products and flawless execution
  • Elevate our brand equity through events, trade shows and training sessions
  • Weekly presentations on product lines as well as product webinars
  • Strong Technical knowledgebase of product lines and process with field experience/knowledge
  • Monthly travel to various locations within our geographic footprint (Western Canada)
  • The Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical sales role focused on valve sales, and control valves; preference will be given to candidates with experience in additional areas of instrumentation and power (motors/drives)
  • Strong technical knowledge of control valves, valve theory, design, application, sizing, and service
  • Technical diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills in English is a must
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., MS Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce would be an asset
  • Must be bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team in remote environment
