    JLL is seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team. This program serves as a marketing lever to support retailers and drive traffic to our properties, ultimately increasing their value. With annual sales reaching $54 million across our 14 properties located throughout Canada, your role will be integral to ensuring accurate financial operations and reporting for the gift card program.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Perform weekly in-mall gift card reconciliations for all participating properties, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Coordinate with both accounting and property teams to gather necessary information for reconciliation purposes
  • Conduct monthly ecommerce reconciliations to align online gift card transactions with financial records
  • Execute bank transfers smoothly and efficiently, ensuring the accurate and timely movement of funds
  • Ensure proper Yardi entries are made to account for gift card sales and related financial transactions
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to coordinate quarterly and year-end accruals, ensuring alignment with accounting principles and practices
  • Track and monitor budgets by property, providing regular updates and insightful analysis to aid decision-making processes

    • WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting or financial operations, with a focus on gift card program accounting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to conduct accurate and detailed reconciliations
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, including Yardi
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial transactions and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
