    Our Edmonton location at Calmont Truck Centre is currently accepting resumes from organized, team-oriented individuals who are looking for a career as a Purchasing Clerk.

    As a Purchasing Clerk , you will procure parts, create purchase orders, oversee department expenditures and perform related administrative functions.

    Maintaining a working technical knowledge of parts to be purchased.

    • Purchases the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price according to need.
    • Arranges the payment of duty and freight charges.
    • Preparing purchase orders, soliciting bid proposals and reviewing requisitions for goods and services.
    • Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
    • Monitoring shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems, trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods.
    • Returning parts and removing them from inventory after credit is received.
    • Matching purchase orders and invoices, adjusting the price and quantity and forwarding to the Accounting department.
    • Assisting Accounting with any claims, credit, or inventory discrepancies, as requested.
    • 2 years' experience in parts purchasing/procurement.
    Experience with CDK considered an asset.

    • Valid class 5 Drivers License
    • Knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel.
