    Description
    HYBRID position at Edmonton, Alberta

    Must haves:

    Proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following:

    • •University graduation: Computer Science(CS), Computer Engineering (CE), Information Technology (IT) or related discipline & 4yr related experience;
    • •2yr diploma: CS, CE, IT or related discipline & 6yr related experience;
    • •1yr certificate: CS, CE, IT or related discipline & 7yr related experience;
    • •current active professional certification or accreditation in related discipline from a recognized issuing body & 7yr related experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
    • Ability to learn quickly, problem solve/troubleshoot, work independently and in a team.
    • Ability to manage stress and conflict.
    • The ability to establish and maintain working relationships with team members, management and vendors.
    At least 5 years:

    • Experience designing, planning, implementing and supporting infrastructure and application solutions in an architecture capacity for an environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
    • Experience developing on cloud platforms and utilizing cloud services in development and in solutions.
    • Experience in IT infrastructure architecture and the relationships among the components that make up an IT service from end-user devices to servers, networks, storage, applications and data.
    • Experience supporting an enterprise IT environment.
    • Experience working directly on site with end user troubleshooting technical computer related issues including software and hardware.
    • Direct involvement in developing best-practices documentation (for example, operational procedures, network diagrams, etc.).
    • Experience assisting clients to execute strategies with technology, process, organizational design and IT operations.
    • Experience in completion of migration of applications and other technologies from one environment to another. E.G. Moves between data centers, moves to different platforms, moves to the cloud from on-premise installations
    • Experience in defining technical architecture, building technical environments, supporting software development processes and initiatives, software configuration and database management.
    • Experience leading an organization through a large scale technology change impacting all levels of the organization.
    • Experience using MS Office 2010 products or higher versions.
    • Experience working in or for the public sector.
