    The Human Resources department is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare is seeking interested nursing students to join our Enhanced Extern Program.

    This is an exciting employment oppourtunity for these students to work in a clinical environment where they can develop and consolidate competencies to prepare to transition into a future registerd role upon completion of their studies.

    The Clinical Extern will be working in the capacity as unregulated health care provider.

    The Clinical Externs work in collaboration with all team members and provide patient-centered care under the direct and/or indirect supervision of an identified Health Professional and who report to the unit manager.

    Externs will be hired on contract, during which the Extern will work part time hours to a maximum of full time hours (37.The scheduling of these hours will be determined based on the unit needs and may include day/evening/ night and weekend shifts.
    Demonstrated evidence of excellent academic standing


    • Acquired competencies to provide safe, high quality and compassionate care reflective of level of formal education and in accordance with organizational Mission and Vision
