    The Role

    The Mortgage Loan Review Specialist reports to the Senior Manager, Quality Control & Reporting, responsible for evaluating the quality of residential mortgage files before funding. This includes assessing documentation, accuracy, and adherence to policies.

    What you will be doing:

    • Ensuring compliance with underwriting standards
    • Conducting pre-funding reviews and offering recommendations
    • Identifying and rectifying errors
    • Managing file funding timelines
    • Providing feedback to the Underwriting team
    • Contributing to quality control initiatives
    • Assisting in report preparation

    Who we are looking for:

    • Minimum 2 years experience in residential mortgage industry
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Understanding of mortgage lending regulations
    • Familiarity with FRMI requirements
    • Financial analysis capabilities
    • Self-driven and detail-oriented
    • Degree in a business-related field preferred
