2023 Summer Student - Insurance - Quality Assurance Analyst


Please note:

This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2023 placement with a start date of May 2023, and end-date of August 2023.

In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:


  • Be returning to school after the work term enddate of August 2023; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2023), you must require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?


As a Quality Assurance Analyst reporting to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Governance and Quality Assurance in the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) team, you will be responsible for the gathering, integration, and sharing of project management processes, while also supporting and maintaining strong quality assurance and reporting.

You will have the opportunity to elevate the overall team's performance by identifying ways to simplify the complex through working closely with various Insurance Business Units, Senior Leaders and the Project Management Team, discovering new ideas for the PPM team to adapt and apply.


What will you do?

  • Support the Senior Manager in performing Quality Assurance activities on existing projects to capture and document common themes and findings and provide recommendations on process improvements
  • Contribute to the delivery of updated Playbook/s (a guide to the best in practice PM processes)
  • Contribute to the creation of a standard Health Check report/dashboard
  • Creation, organization, and sharing of PPM communications with Senior Leaders and Project Practitioners
  • Development of monthly workshop materials, and facilitation / delivery to Project Practitioners
  • Creation / management / development of content for publication on internal Quality Assurance intranet site (RBC Connect)
  • Manage Project Connect and SharePoint sites to ensure compliance to Enterprise Retention Schedule
  • Creation of Project Manager Onboarding process and materials
  • Support extended PPM team with ad hoc activities such as portfolio reporting and management activities
