- 5+ years of experience in software development, integration and/or solution development
- Hands on experience and be able to provide skills and expertise in the areas of:
- Linux and Windows operating systems
- data modelling
- distributed systems deployment
- software development
- CI/CD
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in the following areas:
- OpenShift and related tools such as Helm and Docker
- developing supporting configuration scripts in Python, Bash and Windows PowerShell
- working with platform users to gather and analyse requirements
- understanding of system and data management issues including privacy and security
- deploying, upgrading and migration of data for applications deployed in an OpenShift private cloud environment and on dedicated servers
- integrating applications deployed as part of a platform so that they make use of common authentication and authorization mechanisms
- designing and running system tests to ensure performance and reliability expectations are met
- deploying and configuring monitoring systems to ensure the ongoing performance requirements are met
- documenting and maintaining appropriate system documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively, to a broad range of stakeholders, including executive and senior management using oral and written communication skills.

Description
New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Platform Developer to assist our client with the development of their data and analytics platform and associated services and tools to support data analytics practices, and to populate the Finance Data Catalogue and Finance Data Store with metadata and data respectively.
The successful candidate will be specialized in developing and configuring individual system components, so they work together as part of a larger platform. This role requires expert hands on knowledge of software development, application deployment, and operations and the ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
