Burnside & Associates Limited (Burnside) is currently seeking a driven, performance-oriented Project Manager specializing in Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning.
We are looking for an individual who is not only knowledgeable but also excels in delivering results and is enthusiastic about tackling challenges in the transportation sector.
As a Project Manager at Burnside, you will play a pivotal role in leading transportation projects that involve transportation forecasting, traffic engineering, traffic impact analysis and functional road design.
Our client centric approach emphasizes the importance of understanding community needs and tailoring infrastructure solutions accordingly.In this role, you will collaborate with team members across multiple offices, working on a diverse range of projects and studies.
Your ability to integrate into collaborative project teams and effectively manage competing priorities will be essential.The scope of work will include a range of transportation studies from Transportation Master Plans, Traffic Impact Studies, Corridor specific studies, intersection/signalization assessments, functional designs and parking students.

Project and client management services;Preparation and tracking of project budgets and schedules;
Review of site plan layout and circulation;
Oversee operational traffic analysis including intersections, corridors and freeway segments;
A minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation planning or engineering;
Degree in Engineering or Planning / Diploma in Engineering Technology or equivalent;
Working knowledge of traffic engineering software Synchro and SimTraffic or Vissim;
Familiarity with travel demand forecasting software such as EMME or Visum would be viewed as an asset;
An understanding of the Planning Act and planning processes;
Strong analytical and data management skills;
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite of programs;
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or MicroStation Inroads;
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently; A valid Ontario driver's license and vehicle.
