    Description
    Job Responsibilities :
  • Responding to inquiries in person, via telephone, mail, fax, emails to the public, elected representatives and staff;
  • Providing information to customers and potential customers both over the phone and in person;
  • Recording and forwarding information requests to appropriate staff;
  • Photocopying and collating information packages for distribution;
  • Providing accurate information regarding department services;
  • Preparing and processing documents regarding town business and responses to customers;
  • Providing administrative support to department staff;
  • Tracking, recording ,and distributing all incoming mail;
  • Data entry, filing, and other clerical duties as required;
  • Back-up support for telephone switchboard;
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications:

  • All applicants must provide confirmation of post-secondary full time student status in current academic year and/or acceptance into full time studies in September 2024;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and clerical skills are critical;
  • Previous experience working in a customer service related environment an asset;
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Effective keyboarding skills and proficiency with office automation and computer applications such as Microsoft Office products is required;
  • Familiarity with any of the following programs would be considered an asset: Amanda, JD Edwards, CLASS, Google calendar, Autocad, GIS, and/or Sharepoint.
