Assistant Manager - Utilities

BASIS:
FULL-TIME, PERMANENT |

Assisting in the management and administration of activities, staff, equipment, and other resources required to deliver services to the City's water and sewer systems.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager - Utilities is responsible for the overall delivery of services related to the City's utilities including water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment stormwater systems and the water meter program.

The Assistant Manager – Utilities will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of services in a safe and efficient manner utilizing unionized staff and service, maintenance, and construction contracts where applicable.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering Technology (EET) or a combination of training and experience in civil works may be considered.
Current certifications in water treatment & distribution and/or sewer treatment & collection a definite asset.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-years directly related experience in progressively more responsible positions within a municipal setting with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisor position.

A competitive compensation package will be provided including an attractive salary range of $105,936-$126,359, excellent benefits as well as enrolment in the Municipal Pension Plan when eligible.
