Thousands of finance leaders across nearly one hundred countries use Prophix today.Working with a global network of partners and with headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, we maintain offices in North America, South America, the U.As Technical Lead Product Manager, you will manage and guide other product managers with multiple scrum teams and prioritize and drive the successful definition of new areas and epics for Prophix's cloud SaaS Financial Performance Platform.
You will also be responsible for driving the successful development and evolution of the technical foundation of data management for the platform.
You will work with local and remote teams as well as cutting-edge technology covering data storage, OLAP, query languages, calculations, middleware, IAM, portal, AI and more.
Reporting to the Director, Product Management, the Technical Lead Product Manager will have a direct impact on our future direction.
Guide, mentor and manage a team of product managers across multiple scrum teamsPartner with development and UX leaders to monitor, evaluate, prioritize, design, guide and deliver impactful products
Work closely with product leadership, software architects, engineering teams, user experience designers and product planning teams
Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with product marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure successful product launches and adoption
Leverage design thinking techniques and strategies to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to refine requirements, map solutions to business and technical problems, and bring products to market
Manage some of the platform application areas and define epics, features, and stories
Drive continuous and successful development momentum through your experience and design thinking to help mentor and grow with your team of product managers
Define and track key performance metrics and success criteria for the product, and use data-driven insights to iterate and improve the platform over time
Act as a subject matter expert for the Financial Performance Management software platform, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external customers as needed
Manage timelines and deliverables
To shine in this role, you will bring a rare combination of experience, technology skills, personal qualities, and education.
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or financeAt least eight (8) years of product management experience in business application software, databases, middleware, and/or OLAP spaces
Previous experience managing a team of Product Managers
Agile development experience, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies, and experience with related tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas and concepts to non-technical audiences, and effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationProven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex software products – ideally focused on the office of the CFO
Strong understanding of Financial Performance Management concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytics
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize competing demands effectively
Deep technical knowledge of complex, distributed cloud-native architectures, and solutions
Methodical approach to delivery with attention to detail and ability to keep track of multiple projects concurrently
Experience with various product management and design thinking techniques and processes
Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.
Product management experience related to portals, security, user management, marketplaces or other aspects of a platform
Experience working with remote teams
Experience working with financial planning and budgeting applications such as Prophix
Experience with Agile Development, Iterative process-oriented development, and/or feature-driven development
Experience with Azure DevOps
