About the Position

ADM Animal Nutrition is a leading manufacturing, nutrition and ingredient business offering a wide range of innovative products for the animal nutrition market.

We are currently seeking a Logistics & Commercial Support Coordinator at our Woodstock, Ontario facility.

This position is responsible for coordinating inbound & outbound logistics and provide relevant customs documentation, as well as provide a broad range of commercial support functions for the location, while being willing to be trained for and provide backup coverage to various other commercial office positions, including Inventory Control and Finance AP/AR functions.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound & outbound logistic, including tendering and optimizing carrier selection, and provide all relevant customs documents as required. Work with customs broker to clear cross border shipments
  • Coordinate direct ship customer orders as required.
  • Work with regulatory to obtain classifications for new ingredients.
  • Provide a broad range of administrative support to commercial and operations departments.
  • Audits various documents for accuracy and completeness (customs, purchasing files, production records, customer invoices), while routing any issues through the appropriate processes for correction.
  • Gathers, enters, and/or updates data to maintain records, reports, and databases.
  • Create and manage purchase requests as required for office supplies & MRO / indirect spend related purchases.
  • Coordinates, obtains and maintains a large variety of documentation and files, both online and hard copies, for office and production departments, ensuring they are current and complete.
  • Receives, evaluates and directs incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Be able and willing to be trained for and provide backup coverage functions to various other commercial office positions, including Inventory Control & Replenishment and Finance AP/AR functions.
  • Timely, accurate and professional communication with internal and external customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • You are well organized and have the ability to multitask effectively in a busy work environment with frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
  • You have an extremely strong attention to detail and deliver highquality results.
  • You are comfortable working with a large variety of programs and systems, including being proficient with MS Office Suite (with a focus on Excel, Access, and Word).
  • Respect for confidential and privileged information.
