FOOD MANUFACTURING HR MANAGER

We are opening a new business unit and looking for Change Agents that are builders and can build and grow their function.


The Role:

At Agrocrop Foods, we solve Private Label problems.


Agrocrop is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Human Resources Manager with exceptional communication and relationship building skills and the ability to build a function while operating in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.

Reporting to the VP HR, this position will be a member of the management team and will effectively plan, develop and evaluate and be accountable for all human resource related initiatives and programs that support our short-term needs driven by our rapid growth agenda, as well as our long-term strategic goals.


Familiarity with best HR Manufacturing practices and capability to build a strong and solid HR foundation for a business unit will be a success factor in the role.

The key priorities for this role include

  • Build the proper HR foundation to support rapid growth
  • Recruit to build a top performing team to build and open a new business unit
  • Effectively onboard all new hires while automating and streamlining the onboarding process
  • Roll up sleeves to ensure proper operational Health and Safety protocols are in place as well as Employee Relations
  • Oversee ADP payroll and ensure system set up to optimize all it's function and ensure the payroll function has the foundation and processes in place to support rapid growth
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to understand the talent and development requirements of the organization and develop strategies and tools to help leaders effectively build and enhance a highperformance culture.
  • Provide sound guidance and advice to fellow members of the management team on HR related matters in accordance with applicable legislations, as well as internal polices, processes and procedures.
  • Monitor all daytoday workforce analytics/trends and provide thought leadership and insights on key HR metrics to improve business results.
  • Develop and implement solutions to assist the organization in overseeing areas including employee engagement and culture, recruitment, communication, career development and leadership skills, employee performance objective setting and performance management, and total compensation and benefits.
  • Lead the social responsibility strategy and put plans in order to create business value while promoting positive social change.
  • Demonstrate a high emotional intelligence including strong empathy and selfawareness and the need to be highly visible and accessible as the head of HR.
  • Be a strong change agent to effectively influence colleagues and lead the organization through the introduction of new culture and people related initiatives.
  • Promote and foster a culture and environment that is inclusive, open, empowering, respectful, safe and equitable, and coach others to behave and make decisions in line with our values.
  • Build outstanding relationships with employees across all levels of the organization in order to have a pulse on the business and understand the state of employees' engagement

Qualifications:


  • MUST HAVE Food Manufacturing Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Professional designation in Human Resources (CHRP/CHRL/CHRE).
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience with demonstrated people management skills, including minimum of 3 years at the Manager level.
  • Experience as the HR manager for a facility or with responsibility for the majority of HR functions.
  • Previous work experience with small/midsize family/entrepreneurial businesses is required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting and food sector.
