    The Foundations, Major Gifts and Planned Giving Officer is responsible for coordinating donor-focused programs in the areas of foundations, major gifts, and planned giving.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintains quality relationships with foundations, major donors, and planned giving donors;
    • Collaborates with the Manager of Foundations & Planned Giving and the Head of Major Gifts and Stewardship;
    • Tracks donor relationships and solicitations in Raiser's Edge CRM;
    • Manages the planned giving recognition program;
    • Works on program materials in collaboration with Advocacy and Communications department;
    • Assists in budget planning and monitoring;
    • Conducts research on prospective donors;
    • Writes funding proposals;
    • Prepares reports for monitoring foundations and planned giving;
    • Develops donor profiles and impact reports.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Undergraduate degree in arts, social sciences, or business; fundraising certificate or diploma is an asset;
    • 3 to 5 years' fundraising experience, with a focus on individual or foundation giving;
    • Ability to write persuasive cases-for-support and secure funding;
    • Familiarity with prospect research and planned giving;
    • Knowledge of social service sector and issues affecting women and gender diverse individuals;
    • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management software;
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines.
    Note: Vacation restrictions during key donor engagement periods and events. Occasional work beyond 35 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
