    This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with Hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.

    This is a permanent position.

    Your role

    As Senior Adviser, Content Planning, Management and Acquisition (Content Manager), you report directly to the Director of Arts, Variety and Factual Programming and help shape the departmental vision. You oversee independent, in-house and joint productions, from development through to broadcast.

    Your key tasks:
    • Supervise projects from start to finish in conjunction with producers, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
    • Apply your critical skills to enhance, fine-tune and suggest content to keep viewers watching and engaged.
    • Guide choices and decisions in line with the public broadcaster's mandate and values.
    • Understand the financial issues involved in production and engage with Business Affairs as needed.
    • Reach out to and work with all Radio-Canada departments to optimize project impact and content discoverability.
    • Encourage connections between producers and the various Radio-Canada departments (Communications, Promotions (Marketing) Social Media, Digital Media, Media Creativity) to ensure that initiatives are effectively carried out and supported.
    • Supervise in-house producers and production managers.
    We are looking for a candidate with the following:
    • University degree in a related field or any other combination deemed equivalent
    • Five to seven years of recent content production experience
    • In-depth knowledge of television production and the key players in the independent production industry
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Outstanding communication and coordination skills
    • Strong understanding of the television industry and discoverability issues
    • Good knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada's programming, strategic direction and workplace culture
    • Flexibility to work beyond normal office hours
