    Description

    Teaching Assistant, JSGS 807

    In the appointment of Teaching Assistant, the general duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Preparing for and delivering and/or attending lectures;
  • Demonstrating;
  • Invigilating and marking;
  • Student consultation and holding office hours; and
  • Conferring with the course instructor.

    • This position will provide support to Jillian Brown, course instructor, and report formally to the JSGS Executive Officer.

    The general location of work will be in the Diefenbaker Building on campus where JSGS is located.

    Required Number of Hours : 12 hours per week
    Duration of Employment : Spring session
    Course Name, Abbreviation and Number: JSGS 807 Statistics for Public Policy Analysis (two sections)
    Start and End Dates: May 14 to June 28, 2024

    Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
     A minimum of a Master's degree in political science, public policy, or equivalent is required.

  • Strong statistical analysis and communication skills are required.
  • The successful candidate must be registered in a graduate program at the University of Saskatchewan in the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and be in good standing.
  • Teaching experience would be considered an asset.
