    Assembly Technician Cambridge, Ontario

    Your New Role Overview – Assembly Technician
    We are seeking an assembly technician for a new and exciting product line and service.

    The products are complex electromechanical devices which will be deployed in harsh environments in the field (outdoors).

    The role will require a range of skills, from analytical thinking to hands-on implementation and testing.


    Device assembly:
    Assemble electromechanical devices according to provided schematics, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
    Contribute to developing assembly and testing processes, setting up facilities and drafting instructions.

    Install and integrate components such as computers, RF receivers, antennas, power supplies, and ancillary circuitry with precision and attention to detail.

    Conduct thorough quality checks at each stage of assembly to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
    Diagnose and resolve assembly issues promptly to maintain production schedules and product quality.
    Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including any modifications or adjustments made during assembly.
    Work closely with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on assembly processes and suggest improvements for manufacturability.

    Experience with assembly of electromechanical or electronic assemblies.
    Experience working in an electro-mechanical manufacturing company, a precision manufacturing company, or high-volume manufacturing company.
    Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, controlled documentation and processes such as: layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures/work instructions; Experience using basic electronic test equipment (e.g. multimeters, power supplies)
    Experience with time-optimized assembly for medium to high-volume manufacturing.

    Building wiring looms and cable harnesses.
    Linux terminals.
    Networking technologies
    Electrical wiring.
    Proficiency in soldering techniques for surface mount and through-hole components.

    Operating a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

    Your usual place of work will be the Cambridge office.

    You may occasionally be asked to work from other offices or at a client's site or offices as the role requires.
