- Executing activities aligned with the strategic business plans while contributing to meeting and exceeding revenue/guest count targets
- Grow WestJet Vacations Marketplace share/presence within a highly competitive landscape
- Assist in conducting product updates and training/education seminars/webinars for Key Accounts
- Promote WestJet Vacations programs including the full product line up and WestJet related products (Loyalty, Business, Premium, Ancillaries)
- Attend and represent WestJet Vacations at all relevant trade shows, events and conferences
- Communicate/promote marketing and sales initiatives to travel agency network in collaboration with the Key Account Manager(s)
- Provide competitive intel and creative resolutions for any challenges/opportunities being experienced by the trade partners
- Lead familiarization trips as required
- Contribute to increasing guest count, revenue, and the growth of WestJet Vacations market share
- Travel and Tourism diploma or bachelor's degree
- Minimum of three years' experience in the travel trade, retail and wholesale business
- Exceptional consultative sales experience
- Experience with GDS, Sirev and Tour Operator (ITC) product knowledge
- Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, goal orientated, and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to present ideas, negotiate, facilitate and problem solve
- Ability to travel
- Team player – works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Bilingual French/English is considered a strong asset

Overview of role:
WestJet is seeking a Business Development Representative based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This individual will exhibit a high standard of excellence, enjoys challenges, and is results driven. The incumbent must be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work in an agile environment.
Reporting into the Manager, Leisure Sales, the Business Development Representative role will also provide support to Key Account Managers and our strategic contracted partners, endorsing business plans and strategy while representing WestJet Vacations to our Travel Trade Partners. They will provide education, training and promotions encompassing all WestJet Vacations products and systems. This role will increase WestJet Vacations marketplace awareness, grow market share, and increase revenues.
