    Description

    Working on the edge of exciting technology, you're afforded the opportunity to experiment with new tools and attempt radically different approaches than traditional software engineering affords. Every day with the BI & Data Engineering team is different and each project presents its own set of new and exciting challenges. Things shift very quickly in our industry, and we rely on the BI & Data Engineering team to keep us ahead of the curve and moving in the right direction.

    A typical day in this role might include:

  • Working collaboratively with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand the requirements and business objectives
  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources to various data services
  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and report UX/UI
  • Identify, design, and implement system performance improvements and internal processes
  • Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery as well as build reports

  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a software engineering environment
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL systems
  • Strong Experience with tools like Snowflake, Databricks
  • Strong Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau (Server and Embedded)
  • Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Kafka or other equivalent technologies
  • Proficiency in some of the following languages: Python, Scala, Java
  • Experience working with CI/CD, containerization, and virtualization tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Knowledge of DBTs
  • Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence reporting tools
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools like Azure Data Factory or Airflow
  • Knowledge of cloud architectures on Azure or AWS
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Mentorship, collaboration, and communication skills
