Reporting to the Senior Manager of Resettlement and Settlement Services, the
Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) Coordinator will be responsible for managing, overseeing, and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) in accordance with guidelines set by IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) and organizational goals.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daytoday operations of the RAP, ensuring timely and quality service delivery to all clients
  • Ensure compliance with IRCC guidelines, organizational policies, and best practices in resettlement. Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders including community partners, service providers, local government, and IRCC representatives
  • Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to ensure smooth transitions and integration of RAP clients into the community
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to RAP staff, ensuring they are wellequipped to assist clients effectively
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, and address any challenges or areas of concern promptly
  • Ensure that all RAP clients receive the necessary initial settlement services including orientation, initial housing, and immediate needs support
  • Advocate on behalf of clients when necessary, addressing any barriers or challenges in their resettlement process
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate client records in accordance with IRCC requirements and organizational standards
  • Produce regular reports on program outcomes, challenges, and client feedback for organizational leadership and IRCC
  • Stay updated with best practices, trends, and changes in refugee resettlement at both the national and regional levels
  • Propose and implement strategies for continuous program improvement based on data, feedback, and observed trends
  • Other duties as assigned by RAP manager

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, International Relations, or a related field
  • Experience in refugee resettlement, immigration services, or a related area is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by refugees and newcomers
  • Proficient in data management tools and software
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in multiple languages is considered an asset
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fastpaced and changing environment

Conditions of Employment

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada
  • Might be required to work evenings or weekends to accommodate client needs or program events
  • Flexible to work outside of standard core hours (Monday-Friday, 9 am 5 pm)
  • Local travel may be required
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary
