- Formulate and manage policies and ensure compliance with Head Office regulations.
- Coordinate company IT infrastructure (with third party) and IT security policies.
- Conduct security audits and review Risk Management policies.
- Coordinate with sister and parent companies to align policies and procedures.
- Prepare analysis and research reports in Japanese.
- Assist with company insurance matters including yearly corporate insurance renewals, bonding facility, & fleet insurance.
- Arrange and implement corporate events and functions.
- Assist with building security and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with various federal / provincial Employment Standard Regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct and document investigation process into allegations/complaints. Review with legal counsel when necessary.
- Manage performance review process, including Performance Improvement Plans and corrective actions.
- Manage employee development training programs.
- Implement recruiting strategies, for all levels of operations, office, and management.
- Bachelor's degree (B. At least 5 years related experience and/or training; Excellent English oral and written communication skills in both English and Japanese
- Understanding of Canadian and Japanese corporate practices.
- Strong intercultural facilitating skills to coordinate between Canadian and Japanese team members.
- Background in employee relations, experience in a warehouse/manufacturing setting an asset.
- Solid understanding of HR functions and best practices.
