- Build customer relationships at the buyer and Divisional Merchandising Manager (DMM) levels and facilitates connectivity in other functional areas.
- Deliver results while maintaining the highest level of integrity.
- Executes consumer and shopper driven strategies for their customers
- Use data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits.
- Lead process for managing trade spend/customer programs in collaboration with channel marketing and finance.
- Lead the Business Segment on the needs of the Customer.
- Develop and execute Customer & Category Strategic Development and annual operating plan.
- Negotiates and manages trade funds to create customer and company value by consistently measuring and enforcing trade terms and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Collaborates with channel marketing and operations to develop accurate sales forecasts and achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy.
- Accountable for working with team to launch new products, ensuring client buy in and understanding and focus on full implementation
- Execute and contribute to annual promotional planning
- Education required; Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or equivalent years of experience
- 3 to 5 years' experience in an external selling role or marketing category management position,
- Previous experience with Rona, Reno-Depot and Canac Quebec based LBM accounts (other experience in DIY home improvement retailers such as Home Depot Canada, Lowe's Canada or Canadian Tire considered).
- Door Hardware experience; electrical and mechanical door hardware experience would be an asset
- Exceptional computer skills; advanced excel, PowerPoint and data mining skills
- Bilingualism both spoken and written
