Description

The Facilities and Asset Management Department at Keyano College is currently seeking a full time Maintenance Technician.

Reporting to the Manager, Facilities, this position provides indoor and outdoor maintenance support across multiple campus buildings and facilities as well as student and staff housing complexes.

As a part of the Maintenance Team, you will provide support and customer service to all areas and departments within the College.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

General and detailed building maintenance of all Keyano buildings: interior maintenance, dry walling, and painting, replacing miscellaneous equipment as needed.
Moving furniture, and setting up for major functions.
Grounds maintenance duties such as snow and ice removal from all College properties, maintenance of roads, parking lots, lawns, shrubbery, and flowers, repair and installation of fences, gates, signposts, and signage.
Other duties consisting of any similar and related work as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma.
Class 5 driver's license.
Minimum 2 (two) years experience in the building maintenance field, operating snow removal, and ground maintenance equipment.
Ability to perform general building maintenance including heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks for extended time frames.
Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and as a team player.
Solid knowledge of standard maintenance hand and power tools and grounds equipment.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge acceptable by the College may also be considered.

Nice to Have

Maintenance experience with an institutional and/or housing complex setting.
A valid Skid Steer and frontend loader certification.
A valid Class 3 drivers' license.
Carpentry experience.
