    Description
    Core Responsibilities:
    • Risk Governance & Oversight
    • Research and provide detailed analysis and guidance on industry standards and best practices for enterprise and operational risk.
    • Create and update operational risk management guidelines, manuals, and tools.
    • Operational Risk Management
    • Maintain internal risk management standards, resolve internal and external issues promptly, and engage with key stakeholders.
    • Assist Directors and Managers on the Operational Risk Management team with projects, risk activities, and development tasks as needed.
    • Monitor deficiency management processes and action plans.
    • Collaborate with business units and departments to fulfill operational risk management responsibilities.
    • Support the Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, new initiative risk assessments, and facilitate risk-related activities for the business units.
    • Create and maintain the Operational Risk intelligence dashboard, providing regular risk reporting on key indicators, loss events, and risk levels.
    • Contribute to the maintenance of the Bank's Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) tool, ensuring timely and accurate risk data input.
    • Information Technology & Security Risk
    • Oversight to identify, remediate, and report technology issues to senior management within defined monitoring and escalation parameters.
    • Business Advisory
    • Help in promoting awareness, understanding, and communication of enterprise and operational risk procedures.
    • Risk Reporting
    • Assist in regular and ad-hoc risk reporting and analytics to support Senior Management.
    Qualifications:
    • Completion of a business post-secondary education program, along with enrollment in a relevant professional designation program.
    • 3+ years of operational risk management experience, ideally in front office, risk management, consulting, Audit, Compliance, or Operational risk roles within the financial industry.
    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation abilities.
    • Effective organizational, project management, and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Experience in audit or sampling techniques and knowledge of regulatory/legal requirements in Financial Institutions.
    • Developing understanding of financial industry practices, risk management, and regulatory/policy changes.
