THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the National Sales Manager, the position main responsibility is to develop, grow, and maintain the company's distribution network in the designated territory in order to maximize sales & increase market share.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Trains and assists customers with strategies to improve their sales and profits of our product lines
- Creates and implements business plans with customers, giving them clear objectives and assists customers to develop sales strategies
- Provides detailed feedback to the engineering department and marketing department regarding our products
- Obtains business development prospects for new markets, adds products into existing accounts, prepare proposals for customers, and advises them according to their needs
- Prospects for new customers and identifies new markets to penetrate
- Contacts engineering, marketing, and inside sales teams to provide feedback on performance in the field
- Analyzes sales results according to the product line offerings and establishes an action plan to improve product lines that are not achieving goals
- Responsible to analyze supplied sales reports
- Followsup on proposals made to customers to see if there are any further questions or concerns
- Gathers market information to help understand how product lines are performing the market
- Assists the marketing team to develop new products, promotions, or programs
- Drafts, reviews, and executes action plans with strategic accounts to help increase opportunities with product line offerings and provides sales coaching to enact that plan
- Receives feedback regarding new products and marketing programs effectiveness and implements processes to assist in enhancing products and programs
- Reviews and adjusts applicable strategic account plans to ensure targets are achieved
- Reviews and executes marketing and learning plans with strategic accounts
- Develops new sales goal with customers and creates a plan to assist in achievement of goals
- Determines targeted accounts for the upcoming year
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Postsecondary certificate, degree, or diploma
- Minimum 13 years of related experience
- Proficient sales skills and a keen desire to continue developing those skills
- Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.)
- A hunter mindset with a strong technical aptitude and a general understanding of mechanical processes
- Must demonstrate interpersonal savvy in order to build and maintain relationships
- Excellent time management, communication, and problemsolving skills
- Strong presentation skills and experience preparing professional PowerPoint decks
- Valid Driver's License
- Demonstrated alignment with John Brooks values; customer first, ownership/accountability, respect, performance excellent, integrity and innovation
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systems
