- Assist in preparation and serving of meals following a set menu
- Ensure food is stored properly following kitchen policies and procedures
- Create daily reports of transactions
- Ensure that proper diets are given to the correct residents
- Monitor eating habits for the welfare of guests
- Maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring safe use of all equipment
- Cleans dinnerware, equipment, and dining / kitchen area thoroughly
- Garbage disposal as required
- Other tasks as required
- Adhere to all food safety polices and procedures
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting heavy objects
- Possesses or is willing to acquire Level 1 Food Safety Certification
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor toward guests and staff
- Patient, flexible, and enjoy keeping busy between meal service
- Must be agreeable to a vulnerable sector check as part of employment
