    Are you a Family Lawyer looking for new opportunities and connections through working with other seasoned Lawyers in a downtown Ottawa law firm?

    Our client, a law firm offering a wide range of services, is seeking a

    Family Law lawyer

    with 5+ years of experience to join its team. If hired, you will join our client

    full-time, on-site , in a supportive, highly collaborative workplace.

    Salary range:
    $90,000-$115,000; depending on your experience

    About youTo be successful, you must:Have 5+ years of strong experience as a Family Law LawyerBe a member in good standing with the Law Society of OntarioHave a passion for family lawBe comfortable and have experience in Court for various proceedingsApply high standards and integrity to your workHave strong drafting and analytical skills to assess complex issues while providing your unique perspectiveExcellent oral & written communication skillsProvide effective legal advice on matters with significant complexity and risk exposuresStrong time management and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environmentSolid customer service skills and professionalismBilingual in English & French is an assetAn existing book of business would be an asset but is not required

    About the roleIf hired, you will:Represent clients in court in legal cases pertaining to family lawUphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferencesAttend trials and court proceedingsOversee and manage the legal issues that transpire between people who are members of the same familyAdvise staff on legal matters and interpret lawsInteract routinely with caseworkers, supervisors, program directors and program administratorsSupervise and direct mediation sessions and offer effective legal adviceOrganize and record all official documents required to file casesUpdate clients regularly about their cases
