and Canada.The Production Supervisor role is based in Delta, BC and reports directly to the Production Manager.
What you'll get to do
- Supervise and lead the workforce to achieve maximum production capability
- Monitor operations to meet preestablished production and quality standards
- Administer the collective bargaining agreement, company policies and procedures
- Promote participation and ensure compliance with Group safety policies and procedures
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to investigate equipment failures and resolve issues as required
- Coordinate shift activities with other supervisors to increase continuity of operations
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum High School diploma
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Supervision experience
- Ability to make timely critical decisions in a fast paced multitask setting
- Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays and overtime as required
- Extensive plant/industrial knowledge cement manufacturing background is desired
- Ability to supervise and troubleshoot different kinds of technical, operational, quality and environmental issues
- Cement plant experience
- Working knowledge and technical understanding of cement manufacturing process and its equipment, process control systems, and lab systems
- Technical College graduate with a focus on mechanical and/or control systems
- Understanding of the chemistry of raw mix, clinker, and cement
- Experience with SAP and Kronos
