As part of the Skip Finance team, you will work alongside business and technology leaders in a first line of defense capacity to provide pragmatic, future-thinking internal control solutions to address key financial and operational risks.


What's On Your Plate:


  • Help maintain appropriate Risk and Control governance for Skip, including the ongoing assessment of the organization's risks, related controls, and structure to support a healthy control environment
  • Collaborate with Product and Technology stakeholders to improve/establish agile project management processes that incorporate risk and control assessments at different project stages (MVP vs longer term) to allow for smoother launches
  • Oversee internal controls framework, including business process and general IT controls
  • Support the Senior Manager, GRC in Enterprise Risk Management and Fraud Risk activities with senior level team and executive to obtain assessments of the organization
  • Support the Finance team in business process optimisation, with the appropriate consideration for risks and controls
  • Collaborate with external auditors to support their annual SOX testing programmes
  • Maintain strong relationships with global Internal Audit and Risk & Control teams to ensure Skip adheres to global standards established by the parent company
  • Lead, coach and develop the Internal Controls Officers to meet the above objectives.

Recipe For Success:


  • Seven years of previous experience in a public accounting firm combined with at least two years of relevant industry experience is required.
  • Experience in information technology industry preferred
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • Experience with SOX, COSO 2013 and COBIT frameworks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to liaise with other departments and recommend control and process improvements
  • Thrives in a rapidly changing environment
  • High attention to detail
