    Description
    We have partnered with our client located in Mississauga in their search for an Interim, ON-SITE Controller. In this role you will have responsibility for both Canada and US accounting operations up to financial statement preparation.

    Overseeing a small accounting team, this is a hands-on position with reporting to overseas Director and in-direct to onsite General Manager.

    Advantages
    Although this is an interim role, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to apply for the permanent position and take on more responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    Key of areas of focus include:
    - monthly reporting, financial statement preparation: p & l, balance sheet, management reports, balance sheet account reconciliations including banks
    - cash flow, cash forecasting
    - oversee the day to day, a/p, a/r, in Canada & US, month end close
    - forecasting
    - hands on, roll up sleeves, someone flexible, versatile
    - process small salaried payroll

    • ERP experience, Accpac Sage, SAP are definite assets
    • MS Excel
    • ASPE is highly preferred
    Qualifications
    CPA designation
    5-10 years of similar, relevant experience
    Supervisory experience

    Summary

    This interim role is designed to keep the accounting operations running until a permanent solution is found while at the same time could be eligible to apply for that role.
